Privacy policy

BabyPulse is a baby diary. What you log is your data — this is how we handle it.

Data controller

BabyPulse is a service of BitsOnly AB, a company registered in Sweden under organisation number 559151-8468. BitsOnly AB is the data controller for the personal data processed in the service, and decides why and how it is processed. "We" and "us" below mean BitsOnly AB.

That covers both your own details and the child's — the child's name and birth date, and everything you log about them. You choose what to enter and you see everything the diary holds, but we are responsible for how the data is handled — and we are who you come to in order to exercise the child's rights and your own. A parent keeping a diary about their own child is doing so as a personal activity, and is therefore not a data controller.

What we store

What you log in the diary (feeds, diapers, sleep and similar) plus the child's name and birth date. Without an account the data is tied anonymously to your browser or device; if you create an account it is tied to your email address.

Cookies

We use necessary cookies for signing in, for tying the diary to your device, and for your language and theme choices. Cookies for statistics or marketing are used only with your consent. You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer.

Visitor statistics

If you accept statistics cookies, the website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the page are used, such as how many visitors go on to the App Store. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_*. The statistics cover the website only, not the app: nothing you log in the diary, no names and no email address is sent to Google, and we do not use the statistics for advertising. Google Ireland Limited processes the data on our behalf, and it may be transferred to the USA, where Google is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. If you say no, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.

Consent receipts

When you make a choice in the cookie dialog we store a receipt (time, which version of the terms you saw, and what you chose) tied to a pseudonymous id — not to your account. It is our proof that consent existed.
